3 years in the making, we finally unvail our PAC'A'CAG - a name we chose as a nod to the original "pak'a'mac".
 
Made in London, from 100% cotton Halley Stevensons rain cloth, buttons by C&Co in Whiltshire, and zips that were pulled from the Berghaus factory when it closed in the 1990’s.

The starting point for our Cagoule was a 1960s L.L Bean Labrador Parka. We’ve kept the shape pretty much the same, however enlarged the hood as they were snug. We swapped out the handwarmer pockets for a zip kangeroo pouch, to tick off the packable element, and replaced the elastic cuff, for a button adjustable one. 
 
Made from a DWR treated Gaberdine 100% cotton by Halley Stevensons, makes this pieces light weight, durable and most importantly, the two factors that matter the most here, the cloth is quite in keeping with the garments original date, and can be re-proofed for a long long life.
 
The zips were pulled out of the Berghaus factory in the Northeast of England when it closed done in 1990's.
 
Buttons are made from Corozo nut, made in Wilthshire, England by Courtney and Co.
 
All changes we’ve made to this garment have been as sympathetic to the garments era as possible and to the environment, through careful sourcing of new, and using up old trims.
